BioCircuit
Originally conceived from a line of enquiry into 'hidden spaces' in 2009, I set out to investigate the juxtaposition of natural and technological landscapes and territories, aesthetically as well as conceptually, using a mixed media approach including photography, drawing and tracing by hand,
melted wax and digital scanning to realise this Scanography series.
The lines blurred. Revealed and concealed. A symbiosis. Mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism. The possibilities and the limitations.
The hope and the fear.
It feels as relevant now as it did a decade ago...perhaps even more so.
